Saipan is an excellent place for both windsurfing and kiteboarding. The Northern part of Garapan near the Hyatt gets a lot of wind and some of the Southern beaches such as Sugar Dock get a few fun waves.

People come from all over the world to windsurf in Saipan. The best spot is right betweeen Micro Beach and Managaha Island, which catches the strong North/Northwest winds. If you don’t want to bring your own gear, world-class gear is available for rent at the Hyatt Hotel beach.

Saipan Triathlons
Saipan hosts several triathlons every year. The two biggest events are usually the Xterra and the Tagaman triathlon.
The next Xterra will be held March 24, 2012.
The next Tagaman will be held March 31, 2012.
